About the Role
Jentia Aviation, LLC, an Aviation services consultation company, is looking to expand its ranks to support the growth and development of its Aviation services. Jentia Aviation, LLC's long-term strategy is to support and accelerate MRO programs that will dramatically increase due to the growth and development of the Aviation industry.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to be part of a dynamic team. In this position you will Research, develop, design, and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems for new and existing aviation products for development or manufacturing. A background in electronic product design is needed. Analyzes product quality, competitive designs, and cost improvement opportunities to enhance the design and build of power systems for aviation, and UAV use. Performs general electrical engineering functions as needed.
Requirements
Aviation background and aircraft engineering/certification experience required.
Designs to meet FDA and UL safety guidelines
Develops electro-mechanical assemblies and electronic assemblies
Develops testing procedures, analyzes data, and determines whether a design meets functional and performance specifications
Prepares engineering specifications in response to marketing requirements
Analyzes product performance and recommends cost reduction improvements as well as design quality improvements
Evaluates competitive designs, and recommends new improved designs
Prepare work instructions as well as test protocols
Initiates and oversees engineering change orders
Develops economical product improvements
Provides electrical engineering support for manufacturing
Identifies and evaluates capabilities of vendors
Assists in the problem solving of various production needs
Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AutoCAD required)
Ability to design digital logic circuits/microcontroller embedded circuits and analog circuits and filter networks
Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or R&D environment
Basic familiarity with Altium for developing circuit schematics
Ability to create source code desirable; familiarity with source code development for embedded systems
Ability to use high level programming languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic
Ability to program low level programming languages such as assembly code
Experience using electronic modeling software such as Matlab or Pspice
Basic understanding of noise reduction techniques
Ability to speak, read and write English
This position will be exposed to confidential company information and therefore, is required to sign a noncompete agreement
Proficiencies with Auto Desk Suite (Auto-CAD, Inventor, Vault, Navisworks, ReCap) preferred
